Meet the owner
Charlie Carreon owns and runs Texas-RRR
Charlie's name is on every project as the contact, so nobody hands you off to a call center halfway through your roof. Texas-RRR is a veteran-owned roofing, remodeling and restoration company, based in San Antonio and working across the San Antonio and Austin metros.
Ask him about a roof and he'll get to the paperwork fast. The adjuster meeting and the supplement are what get the decking, the flashing and the gutters paid for, so he treats them as part of the job. He has 30 years of roofing experience. Our in-house staff includes former insurance adjusters. And our 8 full crew teams have 2,800+ projects behind them in San Antonio, New Braunfels, Boerne and the Austin metro.
We're registered and insured, and the only shingles going on your house come from American roofing brands. The rest of how we work goes back to a motto Charlie takes seriously.
“Be impeccable not only with our word, but the love we have for our God-given talent!”
Our services
Roofing Services in San Antonio and Austin
For a lot of San Antonio roofing contractors, the job ends when the shingles are on. Ours starts there. We document the storm damage around it for your claim and stay until the work is done. Residential roofing comes first. The same team handles water, fire and mold restoration, plus bathroom and kitchen remodels, so you're dealing with one crew lead and one estimate the whole way.

Roofing
Our 8 full crew teams repair, replace and inspect shingle, metal and flat roofs. We lean on Owens Corning and GAF, our preferred brands.
Roof Repair
A leak, a lifted shingle, flashing that's let go, a rotted patch of decking or a cracked pipe boot. We fix it right the first time and photograph it so you can see the work.
Roof Replacement
Full tear-off and re-roof in Owens Corning or GAF shingles. New decking goes in where it's needed, and we handle the HOA paperwork.
Metal Roofing
Standing seam and R-panel metal on homes, barns and shops. It's built for Hill Country hail and Texas heat.
Commercial Roofing
Offices, HOA facilities, pool houses and rec centers get TPO, modified bitumen and other low-slope roofs from us.
Storm Damage
Hail hit, wind got under it, or a tree came down on it. We inspect the roof slope by slope and document it for your insurance claim.
Insurance Claims
Former insurance adjusters run our six-step claim process in-house, from the first inspection all the way to the recoverable depreciation check.
Restoration and Remodeling
Water Damage Restoration

Why San Antonio and Austin Homeowners Call Texas-RRR
We run the insurance claim, start to finish
Some roofers hand you a quote and tell you to go call your insurance. We think that's half a job, and we'll say it even if it isn't a popular view in this trade. Our in-house staff includes former insurance adjusters, and we bring 30+ years of insurance claim experience to every hail and wind claim. We meet the adjuster on your roof. Then we audit the scope line by line, file the supplement when something's missing, and chase the recoverable depreciation after the final inspection. In Bexar County a hail claim is usually a fight over scope, not coverage, and a former adjuster has seen that fight from the other side. The six steps are laid out on our insurance claims page.
We show up fast
One customer got his estimate on a Friday and had a roofer on site the next day. Can we promise that every time? No. Storms don't schedule themselves, and a crew can only be in one place. But it's how we try to run things. If a limb comes through the decking or hail opens up a slope, our emergency roof repair crews tarp and dry-in first and sort out the rest after. The leak that's nagged you for months is a calmer job: roof repair in San Antonio starts with a free roof inspection. Call (210) 802-6906, Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m..
We're veteran owned
Texas-RRR is a veteran-owned San Antonio roofing contractor, and you'll notice it in small ways. We show up when we said we would, and the yard is clean when we pull out. Charlie is the named contact on every project, so there's no call center and no hand-off to a stranger halfway through your roof replacement. We're registered and insured. We aren't the cheapest bid on every job, and we won't pretend to be, but we're the one that still picks up the phone two years later when a pipe boot cracks.
One company from tear-off to the last piece of trim
We do roofing, remodeling and restoration start to finish, and after a storm you'll be glad of it. The storm that beat up your roof usually leaves damage across the rest of the exteriortoo. We document all of it for the claim and handle the roof under one estimate. No storm involved? We also take on bathroom remodeling and kitchen remodeling, our roofers hang seamless gutters that carry rain away from the foundation, and Hill Country customers ask us for standing seam metal roofing more every year. Four trades on one storm claim shouldn't mean four contracts. With us it doesn't.
Crews that stay, and an owner with 30 years on roofs
Owner Charlie Carreon has 30 years of roofing experience, and crews that have worked side-by-side with us for over 20 years still roof with us today. Honestly, that's most of it. Send a crew to Round Rock, San Marcos or the South Side of San Antonio and the people who show up have done this with us hundreds of times, on the same brands, with the same foreman checking the work. A new hire learns how we flash a chimney from a foreman who's done it a thousand times. Not from a video. It's also why our reviews keep mentioning one-day roof replacements. A crew that's worked together for twenty years moves fast without cutting corners. We only use American roofing brands, with Owens Corning and GAF as our preferred brands for architectural shingles. Both make Class 4 impact-resistant shingles, and they're worth asking about before the next hail season.
Insurance claims
Six Steps From Storm to Signed-Off Roof
Texas-RRR brings 30+ years of insurance claim experience to every roof. This is how a hail or wind claim runs with us, step by step, so you know what's coming before the adjuster does.
Step 1: Free Estimate
Before you ever call your carrier, we get on the roof, photograph every hit and write up the damage.
Step 2: Meet the Adjuster
One of our reps stands on the roof with your insurance adjuster. That way nothing gets missed or minimized.
Step 3: The Audit Process
We hold the adjuster's scope up against ours, line by line, and flag what's missing.
Step 4: Supplemental Report
Missed decking, flashing, gutters or code items? They go back to the carrier in a supplement, with photos.
Step 5: Begin Building
When the carrier approves the scope, we order materials and you go on the crew schedule.
Step 6: Inspection and Recoverable Depreciation
After the final walk-through we send in the completion paperwork, and your carrier releases the depreciation it held back.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you handle the insurance claim for my roof?
Yes. Honestly, we'd call it the most important thing we do. Texas-RRR brings 30+ years of insurance claim experience to every job, and our in-house staff includes former insurance adjusters, people who know what a carrier's scope ought to contain. We inspect the roof first. Then we meet your adjuster up there, audit the estimate line by line and file a supplement for anything the scope left out. Once the build's done, we send the completion paperwork so the carrier releases your recoverable depreciation. It's still your policy, and every decision is yours. You just won't be doing the paperwork alone, in either metro.
Is the roof estimate really free?
Yes. We come out, get on the roof, photograph what we find and hand you a written estimate at no charge. That holds in the San Antonio metro and the Austin metro.
How fast can you get to a storm-damaged roof in San Antonio?
It depends on the storm. We schedule storm calls as they come in, and we'll tell you straight where you sit instead of overpromising. We run 8 full crew teams based in San Antonio. One customer wrote that he got his estimate on a Friday and had a roofer on site the next day, but after a big hail event the whole city calls at once. Is water coming in? Say so when you call. We'll get a tarp or dry-in on it ahead of the full repair. Our hours are Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m..
Do you work in Austin, or only San Antonio?
Both. We're based in San Antonio, and we serve the Austin metro too: Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop and Caldwell counties. Our crews are up the I-35 corridor every week, so Round Rock, Cedar Park, Kyle and Buda aren't a special trip. New Braunfels and Seguin count as San Antonio jobs. San Marcos sits in the middle and gets whichever crew is closer. The estimate's free either way, and the same six-step claim process applies whether your adjuster works Travis County or Bexar County.
What roofing brands do you install?
Owens Corning and GAF are our preferred roofing brands, and we only use American roofing brands on the homes we work on. Both make architectural shingles in colors that match San Antonio brick and stone. Both also sell Class 4 impact-resistant lines, which hold up better to Hill Country hail. On metal roofs we install standing seam and R-panel systems. We'll bring samples to the estimate visit, since picking a color off a website rarely goes well. Our take? The brand matters less than the installation. So ask any roofer who'll actually be on your roof, and how long that crew has worked together.
Do I need a permit to replace my roof in San Antonio?
In most cases, yes. The City of San Antonio requires a permit for a residential re-roof, and pulling it is our job, not yours. Schertz, Boerne and New Braunfels each have their own rules, and Austin runs its own process, so the answer changes with your address. Skip the permit and it can cause trouble when you sell the house or file a future insurance claim. We don't skip it. Ask on the estimate visit and we'll tell you exactly what your city requires. The permit goes on the estimate as its own line, where you can see it and the inspector can find it.
